La invención de la televisión(INVENTION OF TELEVISION ) IN SPANISH


La transmisión de imágenes obsesionó a los inventores ya en 1875 cuando George Carey de Boston propuso su engorroso sistema. Solo cinco años después, el principio de escanear una imagen, línea por línea y cuadro por cuadro, que todavía se utiliza en los televisores modernos, fue propuesto simultáneamente en los EE. UU. (Por W.E. Sawyer) y en Francia (por Maurice Leblanc). El primer sistema de televisión completo, que utiliza las propiedades del selenio recién descubiertas, fue patentado en Alemania en 1884 por Paul Nipkow. Boris Rosing de Rusia transmitió imágenes en 1907. La idea de incorporar tubos de rayos catódicos fue propuesta en 1911 por un ingeniero escocés, Campbell Swinton.

Otro escocés, John Logie Baird, venció al inventor estadounidense C.F. Jenkins dio en el clavo al dar la primera demostración pública de una televisión tenue y con muchas parpadeos en 1926 en Soho, Londres. Gran Bretaña comenzó la transmisión experimental casi inmediatamente después. La actriz irlandesa Peggy O'Neil fue la primera en ser entrevistada por televisión en abril de 1930. Los japoneses televisaron un partido de béisbol en una escuela primaria en septiembre de 1931. La Alemania nazi inició su propio servicio de transmisión en 1935 y ofreció cobertura de los Juegos Olímpicos de 1936. En noviembre de 1936, la BBC transmitía diariamente desde el Alexandra Palace de Londres a los 100 televisores del reino.

Al principio, había muchos estándares en competencia a ambos lados del Atlántico. Las soluciones tecnológicas de Baird fueron derrotadas por Isaac Shoenberg y su equipo, creado en 1931 por Electric and Musical Industries (EMI). RCA perfeccionó su propio sistema, al igual que la holandesa Philips. Hasta 1951 no se establecieron los estándares para la radiodifusión pública en Estados Unidos y Europa.

Pero los estadounidenses fueron los que comprendieron las implicaciones comerciales de la televisión. Bulova Clock pagó $ 9 a WNBT de Nueva York por el primer anuncio de televisión de 20 segundos, transmitido durante un juego entre los Dodgers de Brooklyn y los Filis de Filadelfia en julio de 1941. Siguieron telenovelas en febrero de 1947 (Una mujer para recordar de DuMont TV) y la El primer helicóptero de noticias de televisión fue lanzado por KTLA Channel 5 en Los Ángeles el 4 de julio de 1958.
